We Didn't Know by Mark Wilson

When we were diagnosed we were shocked

Why were people laughing why were we mocked

We didn't do anything wrong

And in time we felt like we belong

Our invites didn't come our friends would decrease

We hadn't a clue about our disease

It does things to us that's hard to discuss

All we know is what it does to us

Our legs became weak our bodies all ache

Our hands go numb and start to shake

Our smiles are turned upside down

All we seem to be do is frown

Our futures very hard to see

That's because of this damn disability

Although this illness never stops it's attack

And we find it hard to fight back

We will show our resilience and find a way

To keep this illness at bay
